When should you settle with your insurance company? We get this question all the time. It becomes an issue of your health to be honest with you. We have to look at your health and we have to determine what’s wrong with you. We wait until you hit what’s called maximum medical improvement, or MMI. Basically what that means is you may not necessarily be done treating, but the doctors have determined everything that’s wrong with you and have gotten you to the maximum benefit that their medical care can get you. Once you’re there, we combine all your medical records, all your bills, police report, property damage, photos and any other evidence on the case, it could be witness statements, combine that all together and do a demand on your behalf. Only when you get to maximum medical improvement and we know the totality of the insurance and the totality of your damages, that’s when it’s time to start determining if we can settle your case.
