What is no-fault insurance? | Stuart Injury Lawyers Weston & Pape

We get this question all the time in my office, “What is no-fault insurance?” Or “I’m sure I have no-fault insurance.” Or “I know the other driver had no-fault insurance.” No-fault insurance is also referred to as PIP Insurance, PI Insurance, or Personal Injury Protection Insurance. It’s required for all drivers who own vehicles in the state of Florida to have. Basically what it does, is it protects you for up to $10,000 in either medical bills, or lost wages as a result of a motor vehicle accident.
