What are the limits on the ability to collect under an uninsured/underinsured motorist provision in Florida?

Uninsured insurance or underinsured insurance are two of the most important insurances that you can have in the state of Florida. Basically, what they do, is they allow for coverage for medical bills, future medical bills, pain and suffering, or lost wages, and that money that will come to you if someone that hits you doesn’t have insurance, or they don’t have enough insurance. Basically, we ask all of our potential clients, or all of our existing clients, to make sure that they have uninsured motorist coverage on their policy.

The limits are whatever you set them as. The limits can be up to the maximum of whatever your BI is. However much BI coverage you have, automatically you have that much in uninsured motorist coverage unless you elect to have a lesser amount.
