Is my Florida auto accident case confidential? | Stuart Car Injury Lawyers

In Florida, if you’re involved in an automobile accident, the fact that you were in that accident and a police report was created is not confidential. It actually becomes a matter of public record within 30 days after the accident. If you actually file a claim, that most likely will be confidential, to a certain extent. If someone were to pay for an insurance search or an ISO search on your behalf, they may find out and be able to see that claim. If you actually file a court case, file a case in court, to recover damages to your vehicle or to your body, then that is also not confidential, and that can be seen, and is a matter of public record.
